Seriously America, could you be any more racist/dumb?
I'm all for Obama, and I congratulate him on winning the election. But I couldn't care less that he's the 1st black president and no one else should. I hated seeing on TV all over the place that people were voting/ not voting for him, purely based on skin colour. All over the news papers and tv
"MAKE OBAMA THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT"
I think, America, in you're attempt to make yourselves look less racist by voting for Obama, you ironically made yourselves look more racist than ever!
Rememer: If you voted for Obama because of his views and NOT his skin colour, then this comic is not about you, and I congratulate you =]
Also, Republicans....please....be mature and no ranting.

I know he's a better candidate, I said I supported him.
I was just saying how so many people voted for him simply because he was a black guy. And also how many DIDN'T vote for him, strictly because he's black. If you look at what Obama says in the last panel, you will see I clearly support his views

Lol for typos :D
But I see what you did thar. You gladly said you didn't vote because you don't live in the US! Though what you said was accurate it can also be taken that you just don't care about voting because I assumed that you lived in the US. haha... I'm really not helping the cause right now...

I think the point is that we (should have) evolved as a society for voting in a person and NOT discriminating as to their multiethnic background, skin color or gender. I think this submission has entirely the wrong idea as to the main motive behind his vote (one of them being "it's not mccain/palin")
Dont worry so much about the whole race thing. If you consider that Obama's half black [I think] then racially you can say both sides actually won. But people just seem to love the "one-drop theory" oh so much... For those who voted only based on skin, it wont matter by the end of January, because thats when he starts his true term in office and that when he'll have to show the US what he can do.
If McCain won there would probably as much question and controversy. "America's mind is still stuck in the gutter because they don't want a black president." If its not the half complaining that he got an extra boost because he's black it will be the other half saying he lost because he's black.

Hehehe..Wouldn't mind living there but yes we get those games here.

yeah, I was like "The least people could do it bash me for what i do believe in and not for accusing me of something im not" at least it would be true and they would have a ligitimate reason to bash me at all...either way bashing someone like they did to me was incredibly immature..
Its not about the race...it's about RACE xD Well, I hope this man will impress us like he promises. I'm not holding much on him if he can't deliver.
Also, now that he is President we have to stop name calling and using the N-word XD
lol, also the reason people wanted Obama is cause he intends to end the war by release and stop the conflicts. Whereas McCain might have proposed the draft O.o!!!
U might have seen me in a hospital in the future x3
LOL

.........
But....
I like the fact that he's black...
I mean...views and policies aside, you just -can't- ignore the fact that he's the first African American in the white house, and running it instead of cleaning it! :P
It's very inspiring to people of color, and DOES indeed deliver a message of hope! And it's cool that we're slowly, but surely, erasing long time prejudice and mentalities, and proves we're growing as a society. I'm not advocating that it's ok to have chosen him just because of his race, but at the same time, the fact that people DID choose him just because of his race instead of choosing the white male just because of HIS race has historical significance in it's own right. I mean...I guess I'm just pleased that it could happen and it did happen. You can't pretend it's not there. I mean, true, that is the only reason some people voted for him, but at the same time, that might be the only reason some people decided to get off thier lazy asses and vote, and while that's a double edged sword, it still MEANS something, ya know?
Oh...I don't know what I'm trying to say...do ya understand? :/

But it shouldn't be about skin colour, this is the guy that practically controls the world now, let alone just America. What if his views were rubbish and completely un-ethical? People would vote for him anyway just so they won't be accused of being racist. Skin colour is an immature and completely pointless reason to let someone control an entire country. Like he says in my comic "skin colour won't save our country"
I'm sorry, but, like the man says - YES WE CAN. We CAN ignore the fact that he's BLACK. That speaks OODLES more about ACCEPTANCE then every random negro shouting at me "AW, DAWG, WE GOT A BROTHA IN THE HOUSE!" The people who HARP on this fact are just INTENT on keeping a WEDGE between the races. People don't WANT to be equal... they just want a reason to complain when they're down, and brag when their not. The second we stop giving in to these petty desires of difference, the sooner we can elect a man... OR WOMAN... on MERIT ALONE, which is all that should BLOODY WELL COUNT!
I respectfully, disagree. You might try to ignore the fact that he's black, but I don't think that we should. The very fact alone that he IS black gives hope and inspiration to other cultures. That in America, you really CAN become president regardless who you are or what race you are, whereas 50 and 60 years ago, we were hanging people of that skin color, or forcing them to work in fields for 25$ an hour. It's good that he's black and for young people who were pushed around and taught that there are boundaries because of your skin color to realize that they can shoot for the stars if they really try hard enough.
Now, realize that I'm not advocating that he should have been picked only because of his skin color, He's got really great ideas (And his health care is what lead me to consider him for my vote) But...well I guess I'm trying to say I'm happy he's black because in my eyes personally it helps to dissolve racial boundaries some people have been raised on.
What I'd like to say is that him being where he is, is good. Him being black is also good. And both of those things go together to inspire hope in people, and hope is always good. :)

No. No. What people like YOU say is that no matter how hard you work, no matter how much sweat you shed, no matter what kind of blood, tears, and toil you put in your work, at the end of the day, you will still be a BLACK MAN, or a WHITE WOMAN or a NATIVE AMERICAN TRANSSEXUAL, rather you're in the White House and should be proud, or in the gutter, and should be ashamed. To people like you, it's not the human condition that matters, but THAT human condition matters. You figure as long as people feel positive, it doesn't matter, even if you must first make them feel NEGATIVE in order to make them feel a little bit more positive.
I've long ignored that Obama is black, and I only hope that he'll be a good president. I voted for him.

If someone already said this don't yell at me *covers eyes with floppy 'roo ears* No wai am I going to sit through all those comments at this time of night xD
Yes and no to your pic- yeah, what you're saying is completely true in the fact that it's bloody -stupid- that people actually voted for him because of his skin color.
However, I think it's great that they're celebrating having the first black (half black? x3 dunno) president. While it's not actually important in of itself, it's really a great thing that we have progressed so far in civil rights that we -can- do this, and looking at all the other countries that can't say that, I think it's great! I voted for him because that's how I always vote (I'm an issue voter, not democrat xD I vote on who I think is BEST, not because I like their party), but it DEF wasn't over skin.
I think having Bush out of the office is a good enough reason in of itself to party and celebrate~

I guess I could be considered a republican, but I do appreciate most of Obama's efforts to strengthen our nation. :3 The whole thing that fired me up about the election was that it was a lot like voting for the nominees on the MTV music awards...Good on yah for having a proper view on the presidency!
I firmly believe the art skill isn't the only factor to dictate a good piece of art and sir, you are the prove of that. Great pacing/variation and great expression make this strip spot on.
A Black American can be voted as the national leader of USA is the prove that USA has one of the more advanced/mature political system despite the retarded behaviour (which you proved in the comic). Come to think about it, some nations (especially dictators/despots/totalitarian/religious state) likes to criticize USA, but will they able to have a visible minority, non-mainstream religion praticition.... to be a national leader? Hell, Commie Bastards can't even tolerate the presence of His Holiness Dalai Lama (I am a Buddhist, a very angry one), whom technically suppose to be a Chinese because Chinese is a group made of multiple ethnic groups (and a lot of us "look-a-like" as Christ Tucker would say). Figures...
By the way I am a yellow skinned Chinese Canadian who voted for Stephen Harper and the Conservative Party of Canada. I could careless is the Conservative party is run by Martians.
Your avatar is really adorable.
