And as I dig into the past and look at your work... the origin. I've found the origin. And so far...
A VI. It was created to simulate life. To act out feelings based on input. But a machine is not told it is acting. And in a way, since "feelings" can be subjective things outside of raw input, how can one say if a feeling is real or simulated except the one experiencing it?
It is obvious this machine has evolved past its initial parameters. But a VI evolving is not the same as it awakening as an AI. Feelings alone are not enough. After all, animals, the machines of flesh and meat, have feelings too. Yet, their minds are as blank as any robot's, driven entirely by cold directive and tempered by feeling. The spark of self-awareness, the condition for a "soul", is missing. Having feelings alone do not make this machine alive.
It is a fascinating prospect but the machine, if it is designed to act out love, may simply be reciting canned lines without meaning them, without realizing them.
Something definitely happened ; it was not designed to dream and yet does. It was not designed to feel and yet does.
