I like how the fear of falling in love is represented as a glitch here... It's really powerful and anyone who has gone through this can definitely agree

Now it just occurred to me of that old Nickelodeon cartoon.

Eeple's design is reminiscent of such a design, I like it.

Regardless of if this work out on the long-term or not... Eeple has just learnt something important.

Negative feelings should not be allowed to consume oneself. Eeple may not be aware of it but it now knows why anxiety is so destructive to organic intelligences, for it itself was almost destroyed by it. Maybe someday, it will understand.

As it stands... if the world understand what it is and what its "birth" truly means, then it being 'obsolete' and 'gone rogue' will be completely irrelevent. A true, bona fide AI, capable of love? There are creators who spent their entire lives trying to craft one. Who would give anything to meet with one.

Beyond the ethical dilemna, we are talking about crafted life, life that thinks and feels like humans can. Not necessarely exactly the same way... but who can understand the concepts and live them if only in a different way.

Loneliness as a sapient species has only been one of humanity's greatest anxieties and unanwsered questions. "Are we alone?" has been one of our driving questions for a very, very long time. Eeple, though he may not realize it, is a walking anwser:

No. Even if there is nothing beyond human's cradle, humanity is no longer alone.


Most importantly... if Eeple exist, it means others like it can exist.


If the humans in this setting are not terminally stupid, they will realize the weight of this miracle. There will be fear and intolerance, yes... but cooler heads should prevail and realize the miracle that occured and what it truly means.
