One week to go and my brother's troop is off to ScotiaJamb 2015 at Camp Nedooae (don't ask me to pronounce that) in central Nova Scotia. It's roughly a 500 mile (800km) drive from central Maine. I'm one of his leaders/drivers. Looking forward to it. And our trading patch/crest is furry-themed with our district mascot, KeVy (Kah-VEE), on it. I didn't have a lot of time to create this, so I grabbed the basic mascot pic, removed the necker and put on a jamboree t-shirt on him. I hope he's very popular. Each attendee from our group has 10 to trade. I have a few more as I made the purchase/donation to the unit.
Are you involved in scouting in New Brunswick or Nova Scotia? Maybe I'll see you there.

Thanks. I've updated the description to include link to the original district mascot logo it's based on. It's not much different as I said. Just been too busy and order deadline snuck-up on me before I had time to try anything better. For the same price and more time, I could have had these done-up as just the raccoon in the t-shirt, cut around the edges of the raccoon and "hid" the text in the fur/t-shirt/hat (embroidered in same color as that part of KeVy). In that case, KeVy would have been roughly 50% larger than on this 3 inch (4.5cm) patch. How could it cost no more than these? The patch embroidery company I went through bases their price on the average of the height and width of the patch, even if it's not a standard shape. So as long as the raccoon was no more than 3 inches tall and across, it would have been the same price as these square ones.
Something I'll have to remember and make time for if brother's troop goes to the 2017 Canadian National Jamboree.
