But apply Murphy's law to it and Cutie Marks can bring sadness, chaos, and betrayal. And the only way to achieve perfect harmony is to not let our... Robin: And here is where I respect you for it... Because you acknowledge this fact. My time here has shown that cutie marks are a great blessing and that in your life time you have to get one... Starlight Glimmer:... But you side with the Elements of Harmony... Their sole purpose is to restore harmony and stomp out disharmony.

Robin:... If that is the case, then the Elements of Harmony are as evil as the disharmony that threatens it.

Starlight Glimmer: So you wouldn't live in a world were disharmony ceases to exist?

Robin: I would not. Because a utopia of perfection can not exist. I'd rather stay in the twilight where I can view both light and dark properties of magic then to become one sided with it.

Starlight: You... You know dark magic?

Robin: I've studied it with caution to the point that I can tread inside the dark depths.

Starlight Glimmer: How?

Robin: Light wants you to accept it's protection to use it as a shield to banish the dark. Dark wants you to use it as a sword to submerge the light. But what if one was to acknowledge both values of these so called opposing forces?

Starlight Glimmer:... Then that person who acknowledges both... Would be able to learn even more because he or she is not biased towards the other.

Robin: Exactly. I am able to learn, create, and hypothesize in the field of magic in a way that not even the element of magic herself could explain. This is why I respect your philosophy. You know how much a cutie mark is worth. You know the joys, the excitement, the harmony it can create... But you also acknowledge the negatives it can also bring.
