In my lifetime, I think I've met about two people who knew about this character before I did, one of whom is 
hedgehogurbie, who's done some awesome fanart of him as well.
For the uninformed (and unfortunate), this adorable guy is the title character from What-A-Mess, one of my favorite cartoons ever, a scruffy afghan hound who's pride and childish enthusiasm always got him in trouble and caused, well, a mess!
I've wanted to draw him for years, and I feel that this "unpolished" style really suits him.

Ohhh! Yes thank you. Now I need to chase down episodes on youtube. Thank you so much for reminding me of this show. What's funny is my aunt bought me an old Ty hound dog plush that always reminded me of this character. I ended up losing him over the years and only recently was able to find another one on ebay. I managed to remember my plushes name-Haywire-after 20 years but until now I'd forgotten why he was so special to me in the first place so thank you. ^_^
YES!! Wonderfully done fan art! It is a rarity seeing such a thing when it comes to WAM...and yes, I do remember us going back and forth through DA notes back in the day about the show, when we just met. :D Was glad there was someone else who recalled the show even existed at all, haha.
