The tiny dimples around the bodies are a lovely touch. Adds a sense of weight to the pair. Leaving me to think that, while none of them seem terribly injured, they might not be all too happy..
..Or perhaps they're in deeply smothered bliss, Who can tell with these weirdos. ~<3

I did not look up a tutorial or anything, I just one day shaded a picture and turned off the outlines, only to see that the shading almost defines the whole picture. It is basically like shading a picture, only more detailed. So I started experimenting, made a sketch, filled it with a neutral grey, made the sketch transparent and startet to work only with black and white for shading and highlights. This is where you can make good use of a water color brush, that blends colors while drawing and the pen pressure to define how much it blends and so forth. Just start with simple shapes and work your way up from there.
