I think this looks funny since you can imagine the shock on everyone's faces as the Red Ranger mows down the minions and villain with an M60 machine gun instead of stylized punching with explosions in the background.
One of the rangers would be like, "can I have one?" And Red would say, "No! This is my spirit weapon... thing. I don't care if it was bought at Ammu Nation, only I get to use one."
Also, I drew this as an on the spot birthday gift for a co-worker, so I had to draw it in under 15 minuets.

Nah, all the monsters are usually scarily impervious to conventionnal bullets, which is why the cops or the army can't ever help. :P
