Meet Ryx, he's my new character. He's not the typical being you'll see. He's going to be a closed species I am making.
Info Cyruk Species:
Cyruk origins are rather unknown for most part, but they are many legends and myth from the ancients. Described like a bird bipedal creature with large wings. These creature was created under a solar eclipse while meteor showers happened, though how they came to be on the planet or anywhere else, is very unknown. Many legends say that they are from meteors or the eclipse that has happened. Ancient tells a tale, that a tall slender bird like being feast on innocent children, children being lured from their homes and forever disappear in the forest. It seems to only effect the innocent children.
Ancient every 6 months, usually when the bird becomes hungry, does a child sacrifice, bringing all the children from the village and form a line. they know only one child is affect by the lulling music. The ancient believed that the gods have punished the child, that the child is a curse and banished from society. The ritual lasted only for long and hasn't been heard much, other than rare occassion through out the years, from few occasion of children going missing.
Cyruk are very intelligent being, they able to communicate any language, including extinct/dead languages that may not exist today anymore. Though despite their intelligent, they are very mostly solitary being. They live up to 500,000 years before death. Rarely see group, if they're is a form of group, it's a nest family, consisting of two parents and usually one/two hatchling. They do not have visible mouth and looks to be apart of the neck in a way, yes it is. They have a thin lower jaw bone, which only teeth on.
Males are larger and taller than females, males are usually dull color [like Ryx], their colors are usually nature like and RARELY have bright flashy colors
Females are smaller than males, their colors are dark with flashy colors and markings. Females actually tries to attract the males into becoming mate with them. It's usually the male that are flashy type but this has flipped.
Males ARE VERY picky who they mate with, because they mate for life and stick together for a long time to raise the young together. Once the young becomes a young adult, the male usually leave the nest family. Sometimes the male will stick to the female mate.
They're also occasional times that male / male mate together, where one male able to bare children. It's uncommon but not rare. Homosexuality is in their genes actually, some may not have it, some may dominant homosexual like gene and desire only males but they still able to choice female at their own will.
Male Cyruk able to bare children are called Omegas. Omega strictly have to find a male to mate with due to their hormones, their semen being mostly sterile, so omega male is EXTREMELY rare to get a beta female pregnant.
Male with dominant gene that strong pull to male Omegas are known as Alphas.
Ordinary male and female are known as Betas.
Male height can vary 10-15 ft tall
Female height can vary 7-10 ft tall
They are shapeshifter, though they have to learn and develope the skill over time and experience. They do have a human form, so they are able to disguise among human but they usually very solitary and prefer to be alone.
They also have a feral form, which can be any common animal find in the wild.
Their diet consist of eating innocent young children. Of course some may not eat human and eat baby animals. They can eat some fruits and vegetation they please but don't give much proteins and nutrients like meat.
They do not normally chew their food, they usually swallow their food whole like a snake, which their jaw and neck can stretch to fit the prey and into the stomach digestive system.
Their teeth are mostly incisors to hold onto their prey if they try to struggle in their mouth.
They have long slender tongue, which they use to help pull their prey down.
The eye is boney circular shape with black sclera and no iris but usually a colored pupil.
They have different form of vision, thermal, and other form.
They are usually active at late evening and night time.
They don't live in a specific location, they actually populate across the entire planet, but they are rarely seen by humans or any other being, that they usually known as legend and myth.
They CAN have elemental abilities, there going to be one listed one soon.
RARELY some may be captured by human and tagged with serial code and GPS. IT'S VERY RARE TO HAPPEN.
