Man these guys have been a long time in the making but I'm happy to finally have them near to completion??? They've gone through so many changes oh my lordy. The one shown in the ref is a more chibified version of their current design but I will have an anatomy sheet and a rarity sheet out for them soon hopefully! I might add more and clean this up later but yeah!

GENERAL:
Sprittle are small fae like dragons that are tasked with finding and protecting magic sources in the world. They rely on the magic to keep themselves alive, and are able to feed off the magic sources without depleting them.
They can often be seen lazing around in the sun and chattering in high pitched squeaks. They are known for being cheeky and mischievous however never malicious. There are many stories of kindly Sprittle saving travellers lost in the woods, leading them to food and water in return for shiny objects.
Sprittle love anything that sparkles, they have a strong affinity to it as their tail and feelers sparkle with magical energy. Because of this they often have a small trinket hoard in their nest, an ingrained habit passed down from their dragon ancestors.
Their magical energy can also give them magical powers if they can collect enough of it, however due to their small size expending any magical power is very tiring for them.
They are also used as helpers for my other species Witchlings! They help witchlings find magic sources to use in their alchemy and in return are gifted with arcane objects which they also hoard.
TIDBITS:
✖ Small fae/sprite creatures
✖ Descended from dragons and mixed with otters
✖ Around the size of a house cat but can grow larger
✖ They feed off magical energy and thus have no need for real food (although they do enjoy eating!)
✖ Feelers and tail are magically charged
✖ Paddle shaped legs (thin at the top and thicker at the bottom
✖ The longer the feelers the older the Sprittle
✖ Their job is to find and cultivate magic sources found all over the world
✖ Often enjoy decorating their tails with items and wearing accessories.
