She looks like a character that Blacksad could have a fling with. :)

I'm not entirely sure if this is a serious comment or not, I'm a bit shocked by this... but I'm going to treat is as such and give you a very honest answer.
This dress is, in fact, most definitely a 1950's dress. It is based off of Christian Dior's couture 1955 A line collection. This is a high fashion evening down, as the rest of this collection has been. I'm very sorry that you had your hopes on something else, but what you were describing in your previous comments was a casual middle class day outfit. Like every era, there are stereotypes and certain themes that come to mind when we think back on them, but people (and therefore fashion) are diverse. The people of these eras were not simply black and white photos on a page, they lead full lives and I enjoy exploring that.
When you walk outside and look around, do you see a single fashion walking by? What will people think when they look back at our fashion 50 years from now? Will they sum us up into a single trend?
My point is, I am not trying to represent an entire era in these images, but instead what I image this particular character would look like. If you want to see something else, a different style or pose, you are welcome to commission that from me. You are enjoying these particular images for free though, and your comment was very rude not only to myself but also the commissioner. I always appreciate commentary and opinions, but please keep your comments respectful from now on.
