Messing around with oil paints, I want to brush up on my traditional skills. Figured I could just slowly work my way through the pokedex, 'tho I'll probably just do one per evolution line.

Hahah, thanks! I thought of you early in the painting while I was doing the ground area and I was like, "Hmm, this seems like the sort of thing people use the palette knife for, but I've never learned to paint with a palette knife. Jonathan uses a palette knife, how do you use a palette knife?"
And then I took some paints and sort of haphazardly scraped it across the ground a bunch. "YEAH TEXTURE THAT SEEMS ABOUT RIGHT"
*learned nothing*

The perspective is so dynamic and on point, it's simply amazing.
Glad to see you live up to your username with traditional arts.. and it's freaking amazing.
If you're doing Pokemon evo's, would it be okay for me to suggest Dragonair for that evolution line? It doesn't get a lot of exposure and I think you could do some really nice dynamic work with it's wing "ears" and long body!

Part of the hue shifts I admit was from not being able to mix the same/right color hahaha, I was trying to mix his body color with cerulean, cobalt, vermillion, and some other saturated green with titanium white and it never seemed properly saturated teal enough to me. So id mix little quantities and test it and then when I needed more it would end up a little different each time
