So recently, while i was completing my commissions i was overwhelmed with a sinking feeling.

" my coloring does not fit my art style; its too sloppy when contrasted next to the line work. It feels incomplete."


That line alone, DEVASTATED ME!

I worked, no, i SLAVED on my recent works. I put a lot of time and love in them. I felt proud but alas here i was kicking my own ass. But there was a point to it! The "sloppy" factor. I had not yet found a way to make it work for me. So in essence it was "incomplete".

So i cried, then i smoked a fatty and reflected for several days.

Sloppy...., sloppy!!....., sloppy?? really?

After thinking about it, i felt like i needed to step back for a second. Reevaluate my coloring. So here i have produced something that i feel fits the bill snugly. I will continue to develop it. But this will do " that 'ill do pig..." (cookie to those who know that line... that MEANS ALL YOU 90's BABIES)

When i see this, i do Not see sloppy, feels finished and uses all the things i love/habitually do. I am proud to say when i step forth with my new pieces they will be with this coloring method in mind.

Mind you (i could have spent more time on it) but this was good enough to meet the needs i needed filled. I'd say the future looks bright & highly saturated ;3
