Gillferret Horrors [2015 Reference]
I know I just finished a bigger, scarier, and albeit more time-consuming ref of these guys, but unfortunately I also managed to level up artistically immediately after doing so, bringing to light my glaring mistakes and haunting my nightmares until I redrew them.
So here you go, more lesser backrunners as always, perpetually stalking my gallery, screaming into the night, breathing through their necks and other such abominations against nature and god.
Displaced from their natural habitat, backrunners are ranked at Class A and considered dangerous; their presence should be notified to authorities immediately. Do not attempt to approach unless familiar with anomalies at an advanced level, and remember to give all other trespassers a wide berth.

Always such a pleasure to see one of these guys :) They creep me out with their lung necks? (to be honest, I've never been 100% sure what they were, I've never really thought about it too hard!) So if you were going for "creepy" or "unusual" then you got it!
Also side note: I remember seeing a rendition of this Backrunner done by Extra-vertebrae and thought, "Oh my goodness, this character is so perfect for their style" x)
