In today's episode, Subaltern Roland Sartoriusson gets his first, and somewhat unexpected, taste of combat, in an unusual locale. Namely, a peach orchard. With interesting results.
I should note that the idea for this came from a segment in "The Ballad of Adler Young," where we see the Marshal (as he became) engaged in the same actions. So kudos as usual to
tegerio.
(Apologies for being late today with the update. Birthday, dontcherknow.)

Birthday!? I didn't get the memo.
Great spider-whacking scene. I never expected to see another, and yet here's a doozy, with clubbing and splatting, and an enormous Peachy Shelob! That's the kind of tale Faerie was built on, man! Truly an adventure worthy of the elves of old!
"Hudalaleigh, what a beast! Not one for the cooking pot, at all, at all."
Seems like Winterbough was possessed by Estvan Silverbrush for a second there...

Well now, our Subaltern has his first bit of excitement and with a club, eh? And a reputation being established...
Thinking on this, we may see why he likes to publicly wield his "blunt instrument" of recent times... there have been numerous very prominent "splatter" events which no doubt have reinforced the image that the Marshal is very much on the job and, through his "blunt instrument", quite willing and able to make examples of those who ask for it.
