After the last incident with the Taming Powder, the newly-Zamtrios-fied Reu was reluctant to take it on any further hunts.
However, the Kushala Daora was proving quite difficult. Reu had already failed the quest once, his new abilities proving ineffective against the elder dragon.
So, this next time, he finally did cave and take a bow with the coating version. He found the Kushala Daora where he had last seen it, practically gloating with the way it flew. One Taming coated arrow later and Reu witnessed the quite-masculine Daora lose its wings, then begin to swell in her chest and posterior.
Weeks later, the Kushala Daora awakened from her slumber, named herself "Abla," and took up monster hunting alongside Reu and Kabura for the same reasons Kabura did: to anthropomorphize all monsters into intelligent creatures. Though her own agenda was to monster-ify the humans like Reu had accidentally done with himself.
She had seen how much he enjoyed being a sharq and knew that everyone else would enjoy being turned into monsters as well...

Pretty interesting storyline ya got going here... TBH wouldn't mind being part of it, assuming you had room for another in your party. Already got an idea TBH, and it'd possibly play into Kabura's and Abla's desires rather well.
Also, I'm assuming that "last instance" was the one with the Rathalos and Rathian.

Personally I'd have had them scale to her new form, giving her pretty large wings.
That she'd "probably" have to rest against her buttcheeks (of course, if this would be an issue then you can just leave the wings off).
...I just realized all your fellow anthro-monsters and hunting allies here -bar Ace maybe - are female. Wonder if that means anything...
