Shorty after recording this, my voice b0rked, so I'll have to wait until I'm feeling better before doing it again.
You know, voiceover work is harder than it sounds. My voice is a bit nasal, so my "ah" tends to sound like an "ay". Yeah, and it's all captured authentically by a large diaphrayyyygm microphone! My voice can be so gah at times.
Also, why does FA resize custom thumbnails for music and turn them into JPEGs?! I like all my thumbnails the same size, darn it!

Batbix, I was going to suggest that he sounds like Brian.
Hmm...
In your next one, how about saying things like...
...well there are so many good ones and I can't pick just one.
So you choose:

Holy crap... seriously, the first thing i said when i heard this was "HOLY SHIT WAC'S VOICE IS FUKKEN AWSOME" xD
Seriously. It might be inapropriate, but daim if it isnt cool =p Sounds pretty cultured. And, besides... hrmm. I wouldnt think it too much of a stretch to hear that comming out of a 3 foot tall talking raccoon, especially not one like you ;3

I got it here. It's been replaced by the Desktop Recording Kit, which is pretty much the same except it comes in an iPod white finish and it directly marketed for Podcasting. For the fancy paint job, you pay $20 extra.
oh damn, nice mic!
hmm, does it come with a mini TRS for pluging directly into computers? or do you have to run it into a pre amp/ sound card on your computer or somethin?
I'm tryin to find a cheap way of having a good quality condenser mic for podcasting and vocal recording, but haven't come to a good conclusion on what to get, lol.
I've seen the podcasting rigups, but some of em just get too expensive for me (tryin to hit the less than 100 range)

See the link above.
Voiceovers are easy, because if your computer's sound card is good enough, you won't need a preamp (though a pop filter is a must). That keeps things cheap. Just make sure your computer is quiet enough. If you listen carefully, you can hear a ticking wall clock in the background of my recording. The sensitivity of this mic in incredible. It's best suited for studio work rather than for the stage, but works well for single instruments if placed carefully in the right room. This mic will pick up all echos in the room.
Music recording is trickier than voiceovers, because of the dynamics of the instruments. People generally use shotgun (long and skinny) condenser microphones, or dynamic mics to cut down on feedback and echo. You also need a preamp. I'd recommend starting with a $30-$50 cardioid dynamic mic for singing, acoustic guitars, and drums. Spend money on the amps, instead. Even cheap amps will give you phantom power and signal limiting, but can be noisy if they have a tube instead of a chip. I have an ART tube preamp that cost $100, and it is noisy and muddy as hell. I built a better amp myself with $15 of parts from Radio Shack that does a better job!
Whatever you do, stay away from the cheaper USB mics, like the Blue Snowball. They are convenient, but they also work like their own sound cards, and compatibility and latency are problems. Battery powered mics are quite rare for some reason. The v63BMP is great because it can run off a battery or (for extra quality) phantom power. It's very versatile, and is simply the best there is for the price.

In a world where furries are more seen than heard, they finally have a voice! His name is WACCOON! Coming soon to a podcast near you! On a side note, if you're free Sunday afternoons and you get to feeling better, you should Skype BassManSTS while I'm doing BassCast Live, I think you'd make a great call-in guest!
I may have to do this. I've been told I sound a bit too much like an announcer when I use The Voice. It would be fun to record something for FA.
You have very good diction. No pops ,closed 's' sounds, and pretty decent output. The output wavered a bit in range but I suspect you simply were varying the distance to the mic.
Now do Waccoon's voice!

They let us hold those mics one time at film school... but those are for the audio students. We have the huge Rode directional ones, and if we're doing voice overs, we have to use those too, haha.
But yeah, you have an awesome voice acting voice =), is it hard getting work in that kinda field?

Nice mike!
I just use the boom mike in my Mickey$oft headset for my VO work...

I'll consider it. The problem right now is that I can't seem to get any time to myself where there isn't noise or I won't wake anyone up. Between the TV and the dogs, there's always commotion over here!
I still have to narrate something for someone else, and it's already kinda late.
