"And loving someone doesn't mean tearing them down but instead, building them up. And nowhere is it acceptable to tell someone to not love themselves."

I never said this was about big or unhealthy being the same thing. Never ever. I worked in medical, I would definitely know.
I just want to spread a message of love while that video(whether she claims its comedy/satire or not) spreads hate and shame.
But you know the message :) Yourself

Ehhh, to be honest the "Fat Hate" movement lost all credibility when they started ranting about the actress playing Katniss Everdeen being too fat... then P!nk being too fat. Yes, yes, there is credible science involved but it's become more of a shield for shitheads to hide behind. The problem with the "obesity crisis" is not necessarily obese people, it's that the opposition is becoming increasingly and dangerously out of touch with reality.
Sadly there are still large and vocal groups who agree with people like the woman who made the video, saying she's only "telling the truth" and it's this prevalent belief that only one body style or type is acceptable and healthy while all others should be put to shame and made to conform to what they think is healthy. Sadly many of these people have never even entered the dialogue about why many may be obese or overweight, instead injecting their own preconceived notions and cruelty into, only learning the medical costs of being over weight later to protect and defend their beliefs.
I have no problem with someone finding someone unattractive. That's human, we have certain things going on mentally and emotionally that make certain things attractive and unattractive. I have a problem when someone says "you can't possibly love yourself like that and people shouldn't love you, they should shame you until you 'fix' yourself."
I want this post to encourage this dialogue of love and change for good only when people are ready and love themselves and have a loving support group. And that's if they want to change at all because it's no one's place to force it.
