I did this today while babysitting a 6th grade class. Its based on ads for educational toys and tools on a calender on the teachers desk; all of the animals were either on a worksheet the 'scholars' were working on or on the calender. I don't know if its either my scanner, the way I draw or the pencils I use but none of the sketches I scan ever come out with all the details I draw in. Its mostly why I haven't posted more stuff.

Anyways, the children were from an ad for a PhoneSmart Teaching Telephone. There is a polar bear in their general vision area from a worksheet about animals; its the only think I think came out better than what it was based on since the actual polar bear was a stiff looking stock drawing. There should be a goofy looking Pikachu near the bottom text that a 'scholar' asked me to draw. The upper corner has a raccoon and the bottom a fox which came out rather horrible which also was the time I got my usually frustrated substitute teacher headache. Those kids look older than the preschool looking children and more addicted to some drug that might have been influence by a speaker who was showing a video of testimony of people of all ages who regret ever smoking in the first place. I was rather impress that the speaker didn't try to make tobacco companies seem like the bad guys like those retard Truth commercials; rather its the people's choice and right to smoke (but don't do it).

Anyways, the some of the kids saw my doodles and thought they were really good which I really emphasized that I'm not good at all. I don't know why but every time I go into a class; I get bombarded with personal question. My mom says its because I'm Hispanic and since the district has mostly Hispanic students, that they look up to me like some sort of hero; someone to look up to and aspire to be. I know the rules of our society no matter what any sap with rose colored glasses may say but I have trouble thinking in terms of race because I like to see past that (I think I'm also not as discriminated against in this day and age because I'm mistaken for Italian probably due to my Peruvian roots). My mom says I don't see myself as a role model because I think of myself as inferior and I do but I don't want to be an active role model for anyone.

If anyone actually bothers to see and read this, I'd like some feed back as to why I can't get a good image scan; skill or scanner, I take no offense.

EDIT: Changed the file with an edited file after I messed around with the level, brightness and contrast setting on photoshop. Let me know how I did.
