Raptor Masks For Sale! :)
Ok so as you can see from the picture I have two floppy masks "My first pull attempts" and then the two much thicker masks up top. You cant see out of these masks without holes cut in them or you can just have them for decoration. I am considering sacrificing one mask in the future to experimentation so I can have the mouth open so you can see of it. I do not have anything sculpted for the inside of the mouth. If anyone wants that they would need to commission it as an extra item.
The thin ones as you can see are super floppy but if you think you can use them and do something with them, then go for it! I would love to see what you do with them. :)
The two top masks are really thick and use burlap so they arent the most comfortable inside but thats not an issue since they would need foam to line the inside for a nice snug fit. But remember these are latex masks so they do flex a lot. If you want a solid firm resin style mask with latex skin you may have to wait a while. Im completely out of funds for this project and have just enough latex to probably do a two layer brush-in on my mold which wont be enough for anything so Ill keep it in the bottle.
Latex costs me around $75. a gallon which includes shipping. So as you can see one bottle does 4 masks.
If I were to complete my mold with what is known as a core then I could do expansion foam skins and have a fiberglass core to give them rigidity but that type of mask would cost in excess of $650. per mask. Unpainted and Unmodified.
Eventually Ill get this all running smooth and masks will be easier to produce. But for the time being I really needed to get this 7 year project finished enough to offer masks up for Halloween.
