May I give two quick tips for the future?
1) 5-15 minute anti snipe protection. Just to give some room for the bids to go higher and not have someone post just on that one perfect secound, blocking out all other people. That is something most artists do at the moment, which is very nice.
2) If possible, find a website that can also automatically calculate the time you give into the time zone of the viewer//alternatively give thw time jn GMT, too. I had the big issue to find out when exactly the auction ends. EST was at 4 AM my time and EDT ( apparently a variant of EST? ) at 5 AM my time, so I did put my alarm at 4AM to be sure to miss out on nothing and ended up passing in and out until it was too late ^^

I hope I am not sounding annoyed to you, I just want to give some constructive criticism ( right after waking up again later in the morning ).

Anti-snipe sounds like a good idea! Perhaps something along 'auction ends at x time but bids may continue after that so long as no more than five minutes elapses per bid' etc?

As for timezones yeah I have the same problem, I'm in AEST (australia xD) I use google! If you google 'time in EST' it'll tell you what the time is at the moment and you can work ahead or back depending on what you need ;u;

That is pretty much the idea of it!

I used google myself, too. Including three different planning sites X3 It might just be that the switch of one hour forth/back during the year makes things difficult to synchronize with the us. GMT might make everyone calculate, but it also is pretty much the "0" time zone, which is why I usually use it :3
Another thing you could do is throw in journals at a 3 and a 1 hour mark for example.

As for future YCH if they involve mini stories ( which was here a main reason for me :3 ) and huge bellies, I will probably be in!

YCH are a bit of a hot topic among some circles with many people arguing that yes, you could just commission the same thing if you wanted to or even commission something more to your tastes.

People who buy YCH or adoptables I think do so because they can already see something in front of them, because the YCH is already half done there's no wait time and a decent amount of security in the assumption that the picture will be completed reasonably fast. If you like a pose or a picture it can be nice to bid, it can be nice to become a part of somebody's work (at least those are reasons I've bid on pieces in the past <3)

This particular YCH also features the fallout twist, I don't offer story commissions so bidding on this is a nifty way to get a little mini-story if people want it, and to be included in the TALES FROM VAULT 063! series <3

But of course I only encourage people to bid on a piece if they want it, nobody ought to feel obliged to 'donate' anything to me <3
