Got quite a few coats of clear on this guy; the first two i had to sand down reeaalllly gently because i noticed a few stray pieces of fuzz caught on it while it was drying. I'm pretty pleased with how it looks; it would have been smarter to get a black blank but i didn't know what color i really wanted at the time.
We'll see how well it holds up!

I used Krylon indoor/oudoor paint+primer, and sealed with a high gloss clear.
Though the clear (Krylon) stayed... soft in some areas? Almost like it hadn't completely cured, causing one side of the beak to scuff where it closed.
Definitely try a smaller scale item before moving onto your blank!
