Nothing quite like the first snow of autumn - a commission for Siegmar, who requested an early autumn morning mountainscape dusted with new snow, and shining in the light of dawn :3 His character is a black jaguar with the thick coat of a snow leopard, but I actually sort of think of him more as a black snow leopard, or black amur leopard ;P Either way, he's beautiful and fluffy, and he was a joy to paint :)

There is a large black cat. The difference between a leopard and Jaguar from the side is not quite as good to see, except for the length of the tail, but my character has the extra long tail of a snow leopard. Fell then also covers many proportions.

Yes, I know :) Cheetahs were my favourite animal as a young girl, and everyone was always mixing them up with leopards and jaguars, so I had to learn how to tell them all apart! Jaguars are usually bigger/heavier, and have different spots :3 although sometimes they really do look similar >_> But if there were a black snow leopard and a black amur leopard to compare to your black snow leopard-coated jaguar, I'm sure many people would think they're the same animal. Would be sort of neat to see the subtle differences, though :3
