Living galaxies need to eat too. Especially when you're eating for more than one, as the Huntsman has to. Due to being a living galaxy, he needs to take in sentient beings to stave off entropy, for only sentient beings give off the unique energy he requires. Which unfortunately means this poor anon is going to be a meal for Neh-Buh-Loh. Luckily, the process isn't painful, in fact, it's very pleasant, though slightly unsettling to witness occurring to you.
"I thank you for this. I will make ample use of what you've given me, and you will provide for millions with you sacrifice. Also, you had a faint lemon taste which was quite exquisite."
Yet another great blinkpen commission. He's truly fantastic.

It's not that he COULDN'T find anyone, really. But the problem is that for every one murderer, there's a thousand normal people. It can be very, VERY hard to find someone willing...or evil enough to deserve such a fate. Especially since he needs to eat on a usually two, three week basis before he starts to starve, and then if he doesn't eat within a month, he starts getting feral and cold as he starves, not caring about WHO he eats. I wanted to create a predator who would, in essence, be forced into doing something he recognizes is a horrible thing. Who could confront his own nature.
Very true, I do agree that there is a little lack of morally good preds on this site, but people like
livinlovindude and
S2-Freak give us a good few. :)

I like the idea but like most si-fi scale is way off it wouldn't be million in him rather billion upon billions of people in a galaxy would be easy as pie. And one person every two weeks is a very small price to pay with only the earth, which is rather underpopulated and with proper tech can hold a couple trillion people, the birth rate is 15000 an hour it could be as high 15,000,000 at max stable pop and that is not even counting if the planet is devoted to the process of sacrifices. Current birth rate 2.5 per woman with it being 5 back in the 60s which means max that earth could produce is about 30 million people an hour and that doesn't count for anything if multiple planets are colonized and if their is a Dyson swarm.
