I've noted before that Greenstreet's voice IS, in fact, the model for Prince Roland. Specifically, during the time he played Nero Wolfe on NBC in the early 50s. Roland's character himself of course has recognizable overtones of Wolfe (appetite, the way his office is arranged, and a habit of saying "Pfui!").
