It was wrong on my part - it's a mid century modern font that's gotten really popular over the last 8 years or so. Now that I look at it closer I think you were using something close but different. There's also a condensed verison that exists.

Yes, a wrong judgement on my part; regardless, think of using something from the era that occupies less footprint instead of stretching letters like taffy.
