Red little panda hat gift for my nephew. (: Last time he visited he grabbed at my hats, and he seemed to like the panda hats the best, so I made one for him too.
It was too small to model, so I used my big ole yoshi plush. I think it's cuter and love the color way more than the other panda hats. 8D

Cute! It must've been something else to see your little nephew tear through the house after receiving his panda hat. The fun thing about little kids is that, once they get one thing that blows their minds, they are set for awhile.
On another note, I like how you were able to fit it atop of your Yoshi plushie. Kinda makes me wonder what would happen if they ever experimented with giving "hat" powers to a Yoshi in a future game? I mean, if Yoshi can turn into a train, car, and submarine it only makes sense he could gain super cool powers like Mario by wearing a stylish, animal cap.

Hehe, I think everyone else liked the hat more than my nephew did. 8D He just received a cool toy truck that moves on its own, so... :B
And thanks! It wouldn't fit on my head, and it'd be a while until he visited, so I just went with it. (: I've always wanted to try and make some yoshi clothing though. And I think the hats would be an awesome idea! Maybe bamboo-eating powers while he wears a panda hat, and sharp claws if he puts on a kitty hat? ;P Neat idea! :D

Those are both great ideas. Such a "hat" concept would really be fun in a side-scroller, or 3D, version of a true "Yoshi's Safari." Rather than Mario taking pot shots at Yoshi's head, you could go around and gain hat powers from the animals of the region and use them to access new heights and locations in an effort to achieve a Yoshi specific goal. It would definately be a change-up from the "Pop-Up Book" concept Yoshi seems stuck in.
*shrug* Ah, I'm glad everyone else at least appreciated the hat. One day, when your nephew is older, I'm certain he'll get into the cool things you can do. My son is exactly the same way. If it isn't a train, firetruck, or one of the Wiggles, it typically gets little, to no, attention unless by pure happenstance. :)

Yeah! :3 I'd love a new game like that. I'm thankful for fanmade games, since it means we get to play a little more than the same sort of stories Nintendo gives us, but even thinking of our own game possibilities is a fun change of mind too. (:
Ehehe, you're right. :B The Wiggles are really popular with kids, since it seems yours is a fan too! (Then again, I still remember their Fruit Salad song from years back...) and I remember ya mentioned your son getting into your yoshi collection, and you talked about sharing it with him (and he even broke some things? ;P) That happened for me this winter too! When my nephew visited, I was worried that when I let him play with my yoshi plushes he would dirty them up or rip them apart.... but I'm glad he wasn't as destructive as I'd thought! (:

Yeah, kids are quite unpredictable. Especially when they are in the lower ages. My son turns two this month and, currently, he is really starting to show signs that he "gets it" when we tell him he shouldn't be destroying something. He even doesn't openly go an assault stuff unless he's uber tired. Odd how, with little ones, bad attitude typically translates into rotten mood.
Fruit Salad you say? My son knows that one quite well. However, his fav now is "Captain's Magic Buttons." An ironic song if you watch the video for it as they say "...he's got half a dozen..." and he only ever uses four of them in a song. It let's one speculate as to whether-or-not the last two are, well, naughty buttons for his wenches. <LoL!>

Oh wow, so he's just two months older than the baby we have here. 8D I'm glad that there's some sign of improvement, so there'll be less chaos around! (I never noticed how many things break when babies are around until now!) Maybe it'll get easier to handle as you get used to his bad moods. :3
I haven't heard of Captain's Magic Buttons (Maybe I've just forgotten)... but I have a feeling that if The Wiggles were going to sneak in something naughty like that, they'd never fess up to it! Though, if you're just looking into it too much, I guess that says something about your own buttons. ;P
