getting there a lot faster than walking if the idiots who drive cars in a city would get out of the way.

i still say put it on rails, pull up the pavement and plant grass and trees.
also solar panels and batteries, or a pan for a quick charge at the end of the route.
i know most people today can't even imagine such a world,
but eventually, nature, population and the finiteness of resources,
will leave no other choice.

only reason i live in a city is to not have to own a car,
and be a slave to it. and if the part of the world where i live,
ever restores public transportation to the kind of rural towns and villages
i grew up in when they had it, i wouldn't have to live in a city
not to either.

public transportation for jobs, environment and a healthy middle class.
