This comic keeps reminding me of the game '7 Days a Skeptic'. I realize the storylines are wildly different, but I keep half-expecting someone to be found horribly murdered. :P

Also bears a slight similarity to the movie Hunt for Red October. Quite a lot of casual and then the stuck up military type. Also has a murder.

On a similar line, the "giant pair of glasses" frame in the first strip reminded me all too much of 1213!

I'll know to watch out if they bring in a mysterious metal coffin...

Wedge: It's obviously a duct, running between decks. Maybe just air, put possibly also containing power and data cabling. Probably no fluid transfer pipes in an air duct...

And... why is the owner on board? I'm sure we'll find out more as the series goes on, but I'd expect the owner of a salvage ship to sit back and collect profits. As it is, he's using up delta-V and life support consumables... So one assumes he serves some function on his ship other than taking up space, since he doesn't command.

Dang, now I'll have to ponder this conundrum... He's smart enough to delegate command, why not smart enough to stay on the ground? I suppose he could just love being in space, but it seems like an expensive 'perk' of being owner.

Could be that he's sunk all his life's savings into this venture and wants to be there to see how that money is being spent. Also, it gives him a chance to play space cowboy instead of just an accountant. :)

Oh! The Serenity. Nope, not thinking of that ship at all beyond that's more of a rattletrap way merchant ship. Nope, the USV 102 Recovery is assentially a tugboat.

I remeber once trying to draw the corner of the celling. just simple drywall, but I never could get the shading to look like what i thought I was seeing. Ugh! Drawing is hard.
