Wolfin' Down the Dragon - Part 1 (Final Draft)
Juno looked around. Suddenly, something was different.
He was no longer in his cozy home, sitting by his nice, warm fire. Now he was in a deep, dark forest, filled to the brim with mystical properties.
"Uh, where am I?" he wondered aloud, looking around, trying to get a sense of where he was.
This had happened to him plenty of times before. One minute, he'd be at home, while the next, he'd be in a completely unfamiliar place. Chances were, he probably wasn't even in his own world anymore.
And whenever this happened to him, he knew very well what would happen next.
Someone would appear with the express intention of . . .
A low, quiet growl could be heard, and the dragon's ear twitched when he heard it.
"I can sense it," a deep, evil voice said. "I can feel it."
Juno spun to see who'd spoken, and he looked on in fright at a dark silhouette that he saw emerging from behind a tree.
"The power. . . . The immortality. . . . I can sense it," the voice continued.
The figure came out from the shadows, and his identity was revealed. It was a large, gray-furred werewolf, standing at a height of seven-foot-four. He had a great deal of muscle mass, sharp, piercing, yellow eyes, and big, sharp teeth in his maw, despite his reputation of constantly swallowing his meals whole. He wore a white, form-fitting top with black slash marks and matching pants that went down to his knees, and black wrap-arounds that went from his knees to his ankles.
The werewolf was the elder of the werewolf race, a lupine people residing in the world of Aterea, a world also made up of dark-skinned humans, beaver-like Castor, pig-like Sui, and crocodilian Codyli. And the werewolf himself was named Jyn Amarok. He'd long hidden his true, evil nature from his people for years, but his people had recently learned of his true colors and had since shunned him from their village.
Now he roamed his world and many others, seeking out gods and other immortal beings to feed on and absorb into his body so that he could steal their powers for himself. He had racked up a good many over the past several months.
And he was just about to add another conquest to his belt.
Juno was very clearly scared and intimidated by the large werewolf as he slowly walked up toward him, smelling his fear, his power, and his immortality.
"It is strong," Jyn said as he approached Juno, referring to the power within him. "It is powerful. . . . It will be MINE!"
He reached down for the scared dragon with a long, highly muscular arm. . . .
