I decided to do something different, and have a title page for the Winterbough Saga novel "Within the Hollow Crown" prepared. And who else could do it, but J.W. Kennedy, alias

In the story, you'll recall, the Master of Elfhame is nosing about a rubbish heap, and finds a few small pieces of intact stained glass, and the mouse head made from marble. In the next story, as he's burying the essence of Grace of Sulfrox, Nippy intervenes, and shows him how to arrange things. When the sun hits the mouse head, it triggers an enchantment that makes it break into song, singing a particular note. There once was a great temple, Nippy explains, in Eastness City, where a wall with many heads faced a glass window, and as the sun hit the window at a certain angle, the heads on the wall would break into songs of praise.
