"It Might As Well Be Spring," B/* (Winterbough Saga Ep. 594)
The Master of Elfhame has a conversation with the [First of Eldest], and while it goes a bit better than he expects, the roebuck is still a bit ear-swivelly about the whole prospect of his illegitimate cub being around and about. If it IS his cub; more a question of trying to figure out how it was possible.
I know some are sad that Siobhan is stuck in her magicks, and that some of the femmes seem to be a bit on the helpless side. I assure you that things will be explained, both in the near-term and long-term...
As far as I know, there are no Agents Bonsai in the Vale; if you wish to know what I refer to, peruse the latest update of "The Ballad of Adler Young, Canto II" by

I suspect this is where Westersloe has gone awry in his thoughts... As you mention, Anastasia has shown that she expects him to do this to cover up their relationship, so she is unlikely to feel humiliated by his actions, in fact she has actively encouraged it... but as we see, this will never ease Westersloe's perturbations on this point. From that conclusion I did suspect that her statement relating to him joining the "Club for Humiliated Deer" would be more to do with how both of them have fulfilled the duties expected of them but have been subjected to deeply painful and, at times, pointless humiliation by those who have power over them (bankers and monarchs) for reasons of politics, platitudes and pettiness.
I do look forward to the story of when the Bank of Elfhame calls those notes and the metaphorical blood is in the water... I know it will not be for a while but I wait for it with a mild sense of sadistic fervour...

Hah. Called it. Though not -why- she was feeling humiliated. Prolly the only one who suspects that WW is the father is Zonya herself, and she is probably not going to mention it for reasons of her own. (And for that matter, if she was ever with a fox recently, maybe WW isn't the father after all, so even we lordly readers don't know fur sure.)
