My 2nd attempt at wood burning. This particular image definitely tested my knowledge in pen and ink techniques. Many of the techniques in wood burning are very similar to the patterns and markings used when created different shades in pen and ink. I must make a big note of this: This image was not originally drawn by me. It was a pattern from a wood burning book my grandfather owns. The only thing really different from my image compared to the professionally done image is the horses' eye. The original looked plain...almost lifeless...so I added more character and gave it a little more eye lashes.
