This one strikes from within. I battled a fair amount of airsickness when I started learning to fly. Unlike Chucky, I knew I was susceptible to motion sickness, so I anticipated it. But for our young skunk friend, it came out of no where and left him incapacitated.

I would think being the pilot would make you less likely to get sick since you've got stuff to keep your mind off how you feel (kind of how driving a car is less likely to make you feel car sick than being a passenger in one)
I've of course never piloted a plane though so I fully accept I could be wrong.

Man, I definitely identify with Chucky here; the one time I got to fly in a private plane, I felt like I was just barely holding it together; fortunately it was just a quick circuit around the south bay. I knew I would get carsick if I didn't look out the window, but I never had problems with motion sickness on passenger jets, so it really surprised me too.
I don't easily get sick from turbulence, and the only time I was seasick was after I had foolishly taken the advice of helpful folks and used dramamine prior to my first deep-sea trip. (apparently IT makes me nauseous! Was sick before we left the pier, but it wore off as soon as the pills did.) I do have a great deal of trouble with altitude-sickness, though. I get nauseous at low oxygen levels.
Holy shit... that happened to me once many, many, many years ago. I was flying a Cessna 150 and we hit one bit of turbulence and my stomach wanted to throw up! Took us a while to get back to the airport, so I feel his pain! LOL
My advice, don't fly Cessna 150's, they're too small. 172's are better, they're bigger and stronger. I never got sick on a 172.

They are great for training on, yeah, and they don't cost much in lessons. All my experiences on 150's were kinda bad, but I never had a bad experience on a 172. I guess I need to literally train my stomach to get used to such movement... that or eat ginger and aspirin before a flight! XD
