Curiosity leads people to a mysterious building, unaware of who resides within. During the night you decide to pay this strange place a visit, entering through the front door. Slowly you walk down the hallway, floor creaking beneath. It's mostly dark inside, save for a few candles that dimly light the walls. A strange noise is heard, appearing to have come from upstairs.
You head up the stairs, curious as to what made the noise. Seeing a door open, you creep over to it; making sure to listen for the noise again. As you walk inside, you have a feeling of unease that you cannot quite describe. Somewhat like that uncomfortable feeling of always being watched. It's very dark, this room isn't lit with any candles for some reason. As you turn your head, it seems a pair of red eyes are glaring at you from the darkness.
You quickly run out of the room and down the hallway, heart pounding heavily. To the left appears to be an elevator. Hearing what sounds like footsteps, you decide to make a mad dash for it. Once inside you desperately mash the button to go down. It dings and starts to close, causing you to close your eyes and let out a sigh of relief. Just as it is about to close, you hear a thud and open your eyes to see two pairs of hands preventing it from closing any further.
They push the elevator door open, the light illuminating the two that stand before you. An anthro bunny and bat stare at you with a smug grin as they block the way out. Heart racing again, the lights begin to flicker before going out completely. Only thing visible now is the glowing orange and red eyes, before everything fades to black.

A short story and a background? Two things I pretty much never do! Basically they captured the visitor and had them for dinner. Hope you enjoy!
