The idea was that Akairo (the multi-wah) is in Japan and hir phone doesn't work there. Shi needs a new "world phone". So shi stops in to a Tokyo phone shop.
But Tazel is there training everyone on the new "galactic" phones that can make calls and get data any place (using wifi, cellular, and Canmephian technology). Tazel not only demonstrates the phones, but also demonstrates the sales pitch to (off-camera) kitsunes.
