During the steamroid wars, the kingdom of headman was powerfully industrial nation. but was neutral due to the Carpathian empress' request, the nation however was in production of some powerful weapons that both Carpathia and the pirates have never seen. one of them was the T1E1 ogre heavy tank. at 40 tonnes and armor thickness of 80mm up and down the front of the tank and sides, it also sported twin high velocity 90mm cannons that could pierce over 100mm of armor at 1000 yards in pin point accuracy. the tank had a 1200hp v10 diesel engine that gave it just over 35 km/h.
This monster has been noticed by both the empress and military officials of the Carpathian military and wanted a hand full of these tanks and while thousands were being made in its prime, just over 500 were sold to the empire but while it did appear powerful, it was thought it could do without an extra gun so the tank had to be sent in half made factory condition, 215 of the steel made T1s and 314 of the burthium made T2s were sent to war factories in some of the empires industrial cities so they can mount a 32pounder gun (94mm) as well as adding a oil burning marine steam engine. while it was mechanically retrofitted it was still user friendly to new crew members, unlike the tiger 1 from germany, it didn't need a experienced crew in order to know how to drive it. for a heavy tank, it was known for a balanced blend of armor firepower and mobility as well as having a fair equal of quality and quantity. when giving it its name, it was still going to be called an ogre, but if there was a diesel powered ogre and a steam powered ogre in the same place, it would be confusing to know much which to refer to and while it could have been given named based on its owner (like the leopard 1a5 from germany being known as the leopard 1 c in canada) the name ogden was picked and was forever known as the ogden.
most of these ogdens were placed into service under the Carpathian National Guard or expeditionary force where it was used as a bunker buster instead of a heavy breakthrough tank. the tank was well feared to the pirates where no gun at the time could penetrate it, and any tank going up against it was crushed leaving some not destroyed but sometimes wounded enough to still fight on
for size compared to some other tanks here's kirov's post of the ogden with a sherman sized wasp http://corporaldeath49.deviantart.c.....Wasp-540065690
