So, I drew that one weird shadowy dancing drazi a while back and just kind of went "huh... That's really unflattering to their appearance, actually." So here, have an actual coloured reference of an ancient feral drazi.

The drazi is an extremely rare and intelligent species. Capable of elemental control, speech, and advanced reasoning, most drazi in ancient times were seen as gods or spirits and were often sought out for protection or guidance. They are a very justified species and it is said they made a pledge to protect all life around them. No one knows how old the species is or where they came from, but their diverse appearance and many powerful gifts enable them to survive in nearly any environment.
While all drazi are considered extremely beautiful, their appearances are so complex that it can be difficult to say whether or not there are subspecies of drazi. Some have horns or antlers, some may possess a long coat or even scales, and some genetic lines have the ability to summon wings on their bodies seemingly out of nothing. Their colours are as variable as they come, and can be anywhere between a marbled black and white, a smattering of blues and golds, or even a full spectrum. Seldom is there a drazi of but a single colour, but it does happen on occasion. Surprisingly, they are not very sexually dimorphic, meaning females can have the same horns, markings, etc. as males. They do, however, possess a row of curved plates that span the length of their necks, separating the mane into segments. These pieces are made of some unknown metallic substance and are said to be a part of the spine.
Their elemental prowess spans every possible direction, with electricity and fire being the most common and ice being the least. Specific genetic lines seem to carry these elemental traits well, and one strain seems to have notably powerful electrical abilities while another holds the ability to summon wings at will. It is arguable that electricity seems to be the go-to for nearly half of the race and there seems to be a deliberate purpose behind this, but no answers have been given. There are nearly no ice elementals, however, and the clear and obvious reason behind this is the drazi's intolerance to cold.
Lithe, flexible, and incredibly agile, the drazi are capable of reaching ground speeds of over one hundred miles per hour at a dead sprint. Their chests are massive, and their six-chambered heart is very strong. It is difficult to say how long a drazi can sprint, but their love for running has made their territories into massive spans and most travel either alone or in small, loosely-bound groups. Those that can summon wings are nearly always seen alone, but never seem to have a claimed territory.
A drazi's last line of defense is its body. When all else fails and the called element doesn't seem effective, retractable claws and fangs can be just as deadly. A drazi's claws may not be long, but are incredibly sharp and curved. Despite how mobile the drazi are on the ground, their claws are always very well kept and make for effective weapons. The most effective natural weapon for a drazi, however, is the set of long fangs folded within the mouth. The fangs themselves are black, as is the rest of a drazi's skeleton, and can inject a powerful venom into a target. The venom itself seems to be a selective neurotoxin, attacking the parts of the brain that function for reasoning and the senses. It dulls the senses and mixes their signals, causing hallucinations and even paralysis in some victims. It was later discovered that this venom can be collected and refined into an even deadlier toxin that destroys the inner organs, raises body temperature to critical levels, and causes delirium and extreme aggression. The morphing of this toxin enabled it to be spread from one host to another via bodily fluids such as blood or saliva and can be absorbed through skin contact... The practice of using this refined toxin was ended by the drazi, themselves.
It is unknown whether the drazi are dragons or felines, but are markedly feline in behaviour, despite their elemental handling and their love for all things shiny, just like dragons. They do well in solitude and are not very vocal, but can be seen working in small fleets of up to six in a given territory. They can be either nocturnal or diurnal, depending on their prey and their environment, and often sleep in trees or shallow caves... When not napping belly-up on a plain somewhere in the sun. As a species, the drazi are not cruel, but they can be very playful and have been seen tossing their prey around like a toy or chasing it (or each other) as far as their legs will carry them.
