Marsha RedFox as an Irish lassie discovers "gold" at the end of the rainbow. Of course, it's edible.
Just in case you're interested, here's the recipe:
Irish Golden Sponge Toffee
2 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup golden syrup or dark corn syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon baking soda
Melt the butter in a heavy saucepan. Stir in the golden syrup, brown sugar and vinegar. Stirring occasionally, cook the mixture over medium heat until it reaches 290-300 F. (hard-crack stage).
Remove pan from heat and immediately stir in the baking soda.
Pour the foaming mixture into a greased 8x8-inch pan. While it is still warm, mark the candy with a knife into 1-inch squares; this will make it easier to break into pieces once it is cool.
Let the candy cool completely, break into squares, and enjoy!

I don't think I've ever tried Irish golden sponge toffee before
