I think even lighting can 'normalize' the object. Most 'perfect' shapes are imperfect. Watches are wonky sometimes. It's just that the more complex and dynamic a shape is, the more 'erratic' and diverse is the fall of light. I never see you struggle with that... maybe I could if I'd watch you draw more. ;D
