I think I'm a little fuzzy about the whole business of numbered doors. I'm guessing that the Annexe has multiple rooms/apartments, each with their own entrance to the outside? And wasn't it discussed that the Ashearths would have an apartment there for book repair?
This chapter discusses apartments 1 and 3...and not 2. I don't recall what 2 was supposed to be for, but maybe that's Ashearth's book bindery.
And yes, it would seem that each one has its own outside entrance...see the discussion about the wolves' door.
It will be interesting to see what WW5 does about his crowding issue now that the planned solution to that has been preempted.
