The almost-literal fire that burns inside the heirs of Irenaeus tends to have debilitating effects; Stella, Roland's younger sister, died from Waftvapr's Woe. And, as we know from the Ballad, Gawain was assassinated. We know from Zandar's Saga Estmere didn't come to a happy end, either.
Iraneus' line does not tend to be as long-lived, between intrigues and their own burn-out due to their affinity to fire. In this case, Sartorious drank himself to death, Adler did last a while, Gawain ended up being poisoned. We don't know WHAT Estmere did, but given the hints in the Ballad, he may not have been a pureblood elf. No idea what that would do to his lifespan, but it couldn't be good.
