I truly don't know what to say... its stunning. The pose is sensual, the emotion in her face is palpable... with no exaggeration its one of your best pieces. Knowing your work, I'm so amazingly impressed how much you've progressed in a year. Maybe 4, possibly 5 artists tops in the entire fandom can even come close to matching your originality, style, and talent. Even among them, I think your running at the head of the pack. I'll stop gushing, but really... I'd be proud to hang that on a wall.

Which fandom are we talking? If TF, then maybe, maybe I deserve to be in the top 10, but mostly because that fandom subset is so small. If it's the furry fandom, I can tell you right now I am maybe somewhere in the high middle of the thousands of active artists. For my money, the best, best TF artist is SolidAsp and I can't even touch 99% of what he's doing these days. That is probably one of the most frustrating things about improvement, is that even while you improve, the artists who are better than you are improving too :P

Artists always are their own worst critics. I'd put this piece up against anything Solid has done.

Are you a smoker?

I'm just curious I haven't seen anybody draw a character with a cigarrette in, like... forever. lol.

Nah, I don't smoke.

I tend to draw characters smoking sometimes because I need to do something with their hands, and if it seems like the character would smoke, then I'll put it in. I love smoke as a visual thing (hello art nouveau) and the dragons + smoke combo is kind of a trope for me.

Interesting fact, in film cigarette smoke can only be seen if its back lit. Often times the temperature in the room is lowered, or the actor will suck on a piece of ice before filming to give the smoke extra weight, it adds a slowed dispersal pattern to the smoke. So you get those more defined "wisps" of smoke. And now... i'm off to pollute my lungs with my obligatory Sunday Cigar as I sit at the computer.
