Bowser is one of the most interesting characters of all time, cause although some people may doubt it, he is a unique kind of dragon aside from being more than just a villain. He has appearance of a mixture of several animals (five of which are my most favourites), including the vaguely lion-like head and mane, ox horns, turtle shell, and so on. It's typical for some dragons, especially those of the Asian persuasion, to have mammalian features, despite having no relation to mammals. Either way, Bowser is an awesome character, a video game villain who is not necessarily evil, and a cute, sexy, handsome hunk.
This was inspired by what kind of animals made up Beast from Disney's Beauty and the Beast, and the background is a wallpaper of flames taking the shape of a lion to go along with what Bowser resembles (to some degree) and also the fact that he breathes fire. After all, he's a fire-breathing dragon, just that he isn't the clichéd-looking ones, which makes him all the more fascinating. It's also funny how that makes him a turtle-dragon mix, which are two of the four celestial animals in Chinese mythology. Go figure.
