(mind you, I'm no writer, so bear with me here.)

Both Chai and Xavi were adapting to their new lives as parents, which was both exciting and tiring, as their little one adjusted to life outside of mom's belly. Sleep was definitely a precious commodity, and after nursing their daughter to sleep and laying her down, Chai laid down on the bed and quickly fell asleep herself. Xavi peeked into the bedroom to check on his loves, finding them both fast asleep. He smiled lightly and decided he might go relax on the couch a little himself. Just as he was closing the door, his ears perked as he heard their cub start to stir, so he quietly slipped into the room, scooping her up and slipping back into the hallway, hushing her softly. " Shh, sweetheart, lets not wake mama." He walked into the family room, lightly bouncing his daughter as she whimpered a little, before sitting down and cradling her in his arms, kissing her forehead and then swaying her gently back and forth, talking to her in that sweet soothing voice of his. "There, see? Daddy's got you." She quickly settled down, beginning to doze back off as her father swayed and talked to her softly. Little did they know that Chai had woken up and had come to check and make sure everything was alright, but decided to hang back and watch when she saw Xavi had everything taken care of. She had known for a long time that he would be an amazing dad, but getting to actually see him as a dad was incredible, and made her heart swell with love. She couldn't help but stay for a bit and watch him soothe and dote on their daughter, melting at how sweet and loving he was with her. Eventually she would slip off and catch a few more minutes of sleep, but for now, she was caught up watching Xavi doing what he had dreamed of doing for a long time: being a dad, and an amazing one at that. <3

(I really hope that was not too cringe-worthy. writing stories is not my forte, and its pretty late, too x3 ) I just wanted to kind of explain what I had in my mind when I came up with the idea for this picture. ^^
