Question, if that's true wouldn't there be a almost infinite amount of demons? Wouldn't that make all sorts of social and political issues? Is racism an issue if certain breads of demon are raised in what might be called unsavoury conditions? Does this mean demon parents have to monitor their kids 24/7 so they grow up to be the same demon as them and not some primitive mindless beast? If all demons come from the same source does that make eating meat cannibalism? Are they influenced by the underworld or could they end up something totally different if raised in a human environment? How can royal lines exist if their kids could suddenly take on a totally different species, some non-intelligent, at a moments if not monitored? I know it says 'what raises them' but all those points I made before revolve around what would happen if a nanny got involved, or just a staff member or family friend who helps the kid out now and again, or even receiving the love of a family pet. If they just turn into the same species as their parents does that mean one can perform demon genocide by just stealing a species generation of kids and just raise them with different parents? Does this affect the brain? If so what could stimulate intelligence? Are children shunned by their parents if they take a different species or accepted? Considering the fantasy and medieval inspirations I would assume the former. What happens if a baby is raised equally by two different species parents? Does whether they are a same sex couple factor into things? Does raising one as a orphan half way through their development cause issues with their growth? What if they are taken from feral animalistic parents? What if taken from the womb at birth? If some demons are naturally faster or stronger then others then why wouldn't parents want their kids to grow up in someone else's house to get the best chance at a good life? Wouldn't some governments, whether true or not, see some species of demons as superior and force children to be raised by said species?
