Question, wouldn't silver be considered the most valuable mineral? It's known for it's purity and effectiveness against demons and spirits, so naturally it can't be replicated with demon magic therefore the one mineral that can't be spammed by a powerful mage ending the economy. Doesn't it take a stupid amount of time for trees to petrify? Wouldn't the coins degrade faster then they could be produced? Wouldn't the wood be super brittle, and slowly rub apart in someone's wallet or pocket? Wouldn't paper just be much easier to both produce and manage? If china can manage paper money so long ago I think supernatural demons could too. Why would copper of all things be so valuable? Why is gold worth so little? How come human minerals exist in a world with twisted logic and rules? if it comes from the human world why not use human ways of producing money? Are there really no flat notes? Isn't the reason why they were introduced is because carrying around a sack of coins is both bothersome and way easier to nab not to mention take up more space then notes? Who exactly defines the value of a mineral? Banks? Who runs the banks? Is it like our world with loans and interest? How wide are these banks? Is it one big monopoly or a series of smaller businesses? Isn't using minerals for coins also quite dangerous and discovering a huge deposit lowers the value over night, like how Spain was ruined by their own silver mines?
