Is it more or less surprising to find an artist that loves colouring books?
Anyway, I love colouring books and always have, and the recent fad in adult colouring books meant I had a lot of excellent choices to pick from! I got myself Animorphia for Christmas as something "arty-but-non-worky" I could mess around with and find myself doodling in sometimes on weekends. It's got fantastic, adorable lineart by Kerby Rosanes, and I think it's great even just as a stand-alone art book. I also got a set of 24 Staedtler coloured pencils for super-cheap (all my actual art supplies are in storage overseas) - I'd say I'm disappointed in their quality (I normally use Prismacolour), but then, they were less than $5... The reds and oranges didn't scan quite properly and I couldn't quite get rid of the crease in the middle, but you get the gist ;P

Thanks! Ahh, haha, I know what you mean X3 I think I started by colouring the Item/Critter-Search stuff first as I found them, so then I was colouring just a single tiny thing and it didn't feel overwhelming, hehe.
But yeah, I think even if I didn't end up colouring anything, I'd still be happy I got it as cool art book :3

I have an adult coloring book as well. "Art Therapy Colouring Book For Grown-Ups" it says on the front.
It's mostly just simple things repeated all over each page to make different patterns. Well, that or flowers.
I've just filled most of it with rainbows because of the repetitive lines, haha.

Yeah, I've seen a lot like those - they can be fun, but I was looking for something a bit more creative/interesting, so I was really happy with Animorphia :) But yeah, I used to love graph paper as a kid for that reason - I'd make various patterns and such out of all the squares.
Colouring books are a ton of fun, and I looked at a few dozen of them, and I think this one was my favourite :) There's another one out by the same artist called Imagimorphia which is slightly less animal-centric, has airships and castles and things like that in it as well.
