Catching the full moon before a few days of overcast skies. I lost my cable release at some point, and the ice made it difficult to hold the shutter down, so I had to shoot this at a higher ISO and a shorter exposure time than I would have liked. The cloud trails made up for it though!

I guess so? It probably fell out at some point. I'm always taking photos in the dark, afterall.

You handheld you shutter for 30 seconds and came out with that? damn...

Even using a friends 400 dollar manfrotto that would stand up through a damn hurricaine I still can't hand hold my shutter button and get results like this. Good work

It also looks like the figure on top of the stone is throwing the middle finger at you XD

No no, I didn't hand hold it for 30 seconds, I shot it in manual, not bulb. I'd have locked it for a good 50 or 60 seconds if I'd had it though. :) I had my manfrotto, but the ice was resilient and unforgiving.

I think she hates me.

Another fine example of composition, texture, and twilight.

The figure on the pedestal seems to be conjuring some vast cosmic eruption -- or giving it the finger! :)

Awesome.

I'm reading a book called, "The Graveyard Book", by Neil Gaiman. It's about a little boy who's raised by ghosts in a graveyard. I'm really loving it, and this photo really goes well with it.
