Wait a minute! Isn't this about what I said like three hours ago on the last page of Found? And no, I didn't have any foreknowledge of this page coming out, either.
It's four a.m., and I had to get up to pee and get something to drink, and I just came in here, sat down, and saw this, and it was like Hey, I said that about three hours ago!
OMG, I must be having a dream! LOL
From my comment on the last page:
"I mentioned earlier in the comments about Jack or Souffle not appearing to have aged any. That might happen in a dream, but there's another disconnect here that's bothering me as well.
Gemma is talking to Dr. Nick and Paul, and neither one of them know about the other dream, or any of the dreams Gemma has been having, about being little, being Gem, anything she's gone through. So, she's telling them about 'the other' dream where Souffle, or Jack is there, and how it's like Deja Vu because of her other dream, and neither one of them should know anything about those dreams at all.
That makes all of what she's telling them not very logical or sensical, or rational. I hope that she is able to explain all of this stuff to both Dr. Nick and, more importantly, Paul, so they understand what's been going on.
Unless, of course, this is Star having a really weird nightmare after too much drinking and card playing and being caught in her own diapers. :)"

Absolutely. But, sometimes, as authors, we forget parts of that storyline, and we assume that since we know all of it, that somehow it comes out in the story. That's why I called it a 'disconnect', I thought I had missed something along the way about her talking about her dreams, and realized I hadn't. So, either Paul and Dr. Nick didn't know anything, as you've shown, or you, as the author, made an intentional, or unintentional move to forgo telling your audience that they were aware of the dreams.
Obviously, you didn't make any mistake whatsoever, and it just adds to the story, but then again, you're a smart squig is smarter than me.

And, before I go back to bed, I just wanted to say how much I think you have improved in your drawing since you started Found. The shading and stuff in Gemma's eyes in panel three almost make them look glass-like or life-like, if there were squirrel eyes like that in real life. You are getting so much better with your artwork. I hope that you continue to get better and better, you're well on your way. So much better than I could think of.

Of relevant note. Reality is not a solid construct. Each and every person occupies an isolated personal pocket universe which operates off their own private perceptions, beliefs, and interpretations... These pocket universes are truly, and entirely real. This is not to say you can choose what you want and don't want to be real. If only. Just that perceptions waver vastly, and something which is possible in one perceived universe can be equally impossible in another.
Reality, or sanity, just happens to be the nexus where most people's individual universes tend to overlap to varying degrees based on common perceptions. If something "seems crazy", it is because part of your personal universe does not neatly fit into the puzzle with other people's universes, which creates friction, allowing you to perceive the areas where your reality does not mesh with the nexus. In every life. There are millions of things that seem crazy. If there are not. You have a very boring life.
Ignoring quantumjecture.
Based on the diagnostics criteria of psychological disorders and mental disease. When a person is suffering from delusions, they lack all capacity to realize what they are seeing could in fact be unreal. For example, I was once admitted to a hospital with a virus which caused.. Shall we say explosive dehydration.. And a fever of 103. As my brain began to cook, I experienced delusions, where in I believed I was being held captive in a military hospital and being used as an experimental subject for nerve toxins. It wasn't a question. It was happening. In my head. It wasn't pleasant. For me, for staff, or for loved ones... When my fever broke I was like... "Wait, why am I tied down?... I did what?"
Nothing makes an inpatient psychologist quite so uncomfortable as hearing a person they think is barking mad saying the words "Sure I could be crazy, how would I know?"

On second thought perhaps Gem is not as crazy sounding as I thought. Our subconscious accesses more of our brain and therefore memories then our conscious can. So, perhaps the Doc will see this as the subconscious using dreams to try and tell the conscious of a need and of clues locked away in her memory. Since she understands just how crazy the whole dream and reality thing sounds, could the doc decide that the fastest course to recovery would be to open up records regarding Gem's adoption and try to find her family? ...
Well not to many more pages I hope before we get some answers

Justice for WHAT? What has Jack done? We don't know that Jack has done anything. He hasn't killed anyone, insofar as we know, he didn't hurt Nicole physically, insofar as we know, he hasn't done anything to the boys, insofar as we know.
We can imagine all sorts of things, but so far, they're just dreams on Gemma's part, even if she did see Souffle in the court room yesterday. That's no proof that anything she's dreamed is real, since Fiona didn't diaper her (not that she could), that the case file was just that, a case file instead of a picture book.
But, in the end, we don't know if Jack did anything wrong. So, how can you bring a man to justice for something you don't know about it. In the U.S., based off of British law, a man is innocent until proven guilty. You don't even have a possible crime yet! :-0

that is true we don't know what really happened till we find out. We don't even know if Jack is alive or not though if he is he'll have a lot to answer for once Gem sees him. Though I do think Jack was the one who abandoned Gem since we know Nicole couldn't do it as we saw before.
Yeah, I think the reason why Gem freaked out was the pills having a negative effect on her. Which explains why she saw her dad in her shower mirror and Grub in her fridge when she was at her home. It definitely escalated in the court with the deja vu to the nightmare she had though Fiona didn't diaper her (and it seemed she wasn't going to do that before Gem slugged her).

You know, I had forgotten about the pills Dr. Kitsune gave her. One of the problems with a comic like this is there are so many pages we have to remember about. How many 'real days' have passed since Gemma saw Dr. Kitsune and he gave her the pills? A week, a month, or just a couple of days? I honestly don't remember.
I've been thinking about this. If Gemma can relate her dreams, particularly the dream she had of the courtroom scene, including the picture book, Fiona's reactions to her, seeing Souffle in the dream, and put them at a time before the real court date, it might turn a couple of heads, but it might also be an opening to something else. What else, I'm not sure, depends, but if *I* told someone that I had a dream three weeks ago, and it turned around and it happened yesterday, they might believe me, or they might think I was totally off my rocker. But, the chance is that someone might believe me. That's a chance, in this case, I'd be grasping for. Plus, as she explains more and more of her dreams, her wetting, her paci, etc., I'm not sure what will happen, but people might believe her. If I were Paul, I'd want to be taking care of her more and more.
I really am glad I 'Found' this comic strip.

Something about that glance in the last panel makes me picture the next scene being the doctor taking off the mask, and revealing that he was Souffle ALL ALONG!
And he would've gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for that meddling adorable squirrel and her mangy cute caterpillar.
